Farmers’ Markets

Visit Us Year-Round at North Bay Farmers’ Markets

As members of a thriving family-farming community here in Northern California, we have always enjoyed buying produce directly from local organic farms at farmers’ markets. Naturally, we thought these farmers’ markets would also be perfect places to offer our organic dairy products. Farmers’ markets are important to us as they play a critical role in the ongoing movement to preserve sustainable family farming and food production — a core component of our mission. Plus, we appreciate meeting our customers face-to-face, educating about sustainable organic farming practices, sharing climate change solutions, hearing suggestions, listening to feedback, and sharing new products and recipes.

Straus Family Creamery offers all our organic dairy products — milk, yogurt, butter, sour cream, and ice cream — at Bay Area farmers’ markets.

From The Agricultural Institute of Marin [AIM]:

“Certified farmers’ markets are encouraged to remain open as essential businesses to provide food to the public. The open-air environment and shortest supply chain possible make farmers markets critical to the community during this time. We want the public to obtain essential foods including fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, fish, and poultry, canned foods, and prepared foods directly from our producers.

We will continue to monitor and respond to health advisories and implement health and safety procedures to protect our staff, producers, and shoppers in accordance with state and county health orders for COVID-19 and to maintain social distancing. We have created protocols to maintain health and safety at markets.”
