Straus Family Creamery (“SFC,” “we,” or “us”) is committed to preserving the privacy of those who visit our websites, social media platforms owned and controlled by us, and any content, functionality, or services offered through us, including our website located at strausfamilycreamery.com (collectively, the “Site”). This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) will outline how we gather and utilize various sources of information obtained during your visit to the Site. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected at this Site.

PERSONAL AND NON-PERSONAL INFORMATION

When using the Site, in order to utilize some of the services, you may be asked to provide, or you may choose to upload, certain personally identifiable information about yourself (“Personal Information”). Personal Information can include your name, birth date, gender, email address, physical address and telephone number or other information.   • Newsletter: When you elect to sign up for our e-mail newsletter, you will need to provide certain Personal Information such as your e-mail address. We utilize The Rocket Science Group LLC d/b/a Mailchimp (“Mailchimp”) to perform the foregoing service, and thus all such Personal Information provided in connection with our Newsletter is shared with Mailchimp for the intended purpose of providing you with our newsletter. By signing up to receive our newsletter, you agree to Mailchimp’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy currently found at https://mailchimp.com/legal/terms/.
  • Communicate with Us: When you communicate with us or our Service Providers (defined below) by e-mail or through the Site, you may provide us certain Personal Information.
  • Survey or Sweepstakes: If you participate in any survey or sweepstakes, you may provide certain Personal Information as part of your response or entry.

In addition, even if you do not explicitly provide us or our Service Providers with information, we may collect certain information automatically when you interact with the Site. For example:

  • Usage Date: When you use the Site, we and our Service Providers may keep an activity log that tracks usage data and information about all visitors to the Site.
  • Cookies, Web Beacons, and Log Data: Like many websites, we and our Service Providers may use cookies and other tracking technologies to enhance your browsing experience and store information, including pixels, web beacons, “clear GIFs,” local storage, device identifiers, the content, features, and activities that you access and participate in on the Site, software crash reports, session identification number, search terms, search results, and referring website’s address(es) to help provide, protect and improve the Site.
    • An Internet Protocol (IP) address is a number that is automatically assigned to your device from which you are accessing the Site by your Internet Service Provider (ISP), and is identified and logged automatically in our server log files whenever you visit the Site, along with the time of the visit and the activity on the Site, browser type and operating system, device information, device event information, and the page you’ve viewed or engaged with before or after using the Site. We may also engage third parties, such as Google Analytics, to provide analytics about the use of our Site, or assist with our data processing and management (e.g. to measure ad quality and responses to ads, and to display ads that are more likely to be relevant to you) account management, hosting, customer and technical support, and other services which we use to personalize your experience. These entities may use cookies, web beacons, pixels, embedded scripts, and other technologies to automatically collect information about your use of the Site, such as your IP address, web browser, pages viewed, time spent on pages, links clicked and conversion information. Please also note that we do reserve the right to transfer your Personal Information and other information to our successors in business and purchasers of Site assets. We may change ownership or corporate organization while providing the Site. As a result, we may transfer your information to another company or entity that is affiliated with us, with which we have merged, or which has acquired all or some of our assets.

PROTECTION FOR CHILDREN

This Site is not directed to or intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13 years of age. If you are under 13 years of age do not use this Site, and under no circumstances should you send information about yourself to us. The Site may use social media plug-ins (e.g., the Facebook “Like” button, “Share to Twitter” button) to enable you to easily share information with others. When you visit the Site, the operator of the social plug-in can place a cookie on your computer or other electronic device that enables that operator to recognize individuals who have previously visited our Site. If you are logged into the social media website (e.g., Facebook, Twitter) while browsing on our Site, the social media plug-in allows that social media website to receive information that you have visited our Site. The social media plug-in also allows the social media website to share information about your activities on our Site with other users of their social media website. Please note that the Site may include the ability to access and submit (including, for example, via a third-party software application or service that is available through or in connection with the Site) certain information directly to third parties, such as Mailchimp. COMMUNICATIONS WITH SFC

By providing your email address to us, you expressly consent to receive emails from us. We may use email to communicate with you, to send information that you have requested or to send information about other products or services developed or provided by us, provided that, we will not give your email address to another party to promote their products or services directly to you. This information may be retained by us for as long as the information is needed for its useful purposes, such as maintaining a functional game environment.  We will review information collected on a periodic basis and remove any information that no longer is needed for its required purposes.  An example of this is for retaining information that allows us to improve future in-game activities using past usage information.

If your device stores Flash LSOs, and if you do not want Flash LSOs stored on your device through which you access the Site, you can adjust the settings of your Flash player to block Flash LSO storage using the tools contained using the Website Storage Settings Panel. Within 10 business days of receipt, we will confirm receipt of your request.  We will provide a substantive response within 45 calendar days, unless we need more time, in which case we will notify you.  If we need additional information to verify your identity, we will contact you to request that information.  If we are not able to verify your identity, we will deny your request to delete.  If we deny your request, even if only in part, we will explain the reason in our response, and we will ask if you would like to opt out of the sale of your personal information.  In either case, we will maintain a record of your request and our response.

If you would like to designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, you must (i) provide the agent signed permission to do so, (ii) provide proof of your identity, and (iii) directly confirm you provided the authorized agent permission to submit the request.  If we do not receive the above, we will deny the request.
