The name “barista” pays homage to our talented San Francisco Bay Area barista customers who helped us develop this line of lightly homogenized organic milk for cafés and culinary applications.
Straus Family Creamery NEW Organic Extra Rich Barista® Milk begins with premium Organic Cream-Top Milk. The Barista® Milk is crafted with the perfect level of homogenization to preserve the flavor of the milk and create long-lasting foam for cappuccinos, lattes, and other milk-based coffee and tea bar drinks.
The Extra Rich Organic Barista® Milk has a higher milk fat content and higher milk solids than whole milk (4.2 % as compared to 3.5 %). Baristas can develop decadent custom beverages with an indulgent mouthfeel and longer lasting foam that is the trademark of Straus’ premium organic dairy milk. This milk is the first-of-its-kind with this level of milk fat content and milk solids that is lightly homogenized.
For more than 10 years, our Barista® Milk has been used as an ingredient by baristas and chefs in restaurants, bakeries, cafés, and commercial kitchens across the western states. It’s prized by coffee baristas for creating small, tight bubbles (“micro-foam”) when steamed for coffee and tea drinks.
Crafted with pure, simple ingredients, and minimally processed for best taste and culinary performance. No gums, thickeners, stabilizers, artificial ingredients, or coloring agents are ever used in our milk.
