If you're a croissant enthusiast based in the Bay Area, get ready for an unforgettable experience at @blooms_end, where pastry chef @marydenham has woven technical precision and creativity into her pastry creations. 🥐✨ Mary Denham, a master of her craft, has taken her traveling bakery on a unique journey, setting up shop at farm stands, ceramic studios, and flower shops for nearly five years before finding a lasting home. Now, this pastry pop-up is close to becoming a permanent fixture at Tenfold Farmstand (📍 5300 Red Hill Road) in Petaluma.

And guess what? Blooms End is a proud customer of Straus Family Creamery. We’re providing the bakery with our Organic Unsalted Sweet European Style Butter for extra flakiness in her croissants, known as a work of art, crafted with heirloom grains for a symphony of flavors. Mary also adds seasonal produce from local farmers' markets to elevate the taste. She plans to expand her menu with cakes, pies, cookies, and more once #BloomsEnd settles into its charming covered wagon inspired by Little House on the Prairie. Make a day trip to Blooms End at Neighboring Fields (on Fridays, for now), where you can savor pastries and sweet nostalgia.

We're proud to play an active role in California's farm-to-school movement with the help of Conscious Kitchen (@consciouskitchn). 📚🍎 Thanks to state and federal funding, school districts across California are trading in old cafeteria staples for fresh, organic choices. Our organic milk and yogurt are a part of these nutritious offerings at some Bay Area schools, ensuring students have access to high-quality organic dairy food for a well-rounded meal.

Over the last few decades, the farms and ranches on the federally established agricultural lands in the pastoral zone in Point Reyes National Seashore (PRNS) have been building a vibrant, healthy local food system established on organic and sustainable farming practices. These practices are established on organic and sustainable farming, which have worked in harmony with nature, proving to be a solution to climate change.
⁣
These farms represent a critical component of farm-to-table offerings that support regional farmers' markets, local cheese processing operations, restaurants, and more. ⁣
⁣
Your input can help decide the fate of the farming and ranching community in the Seashore and Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA) during an open comment period offered by the @NationalParkService (NPS) until September 25th. ⁣
⁣
Your comments will help update the Tomales Point area’s management plan outlined in the draft Environmental Assessment (EA). This includes changing how the elk are managed in this section of the Park and possibly removing the Tule Elk Fence, which currently separates the elk from the working ranches and farms, potentially depleting the natural resources. ⁣
⁣
If the Elk Fence is removed, sustainable farming operations will be unable to survive due to competition for available feed; and the organic farms will be unable to meet USDA organic pasture standards. ⁣
⁣
Eliminating the Park’s farming community would damage Marin County’s agricultural economy and regional food supply, 20% of which is within the Park. This would also be a devastating loss to the entire community, including schools and local businesses. ⁣
